Ready Plaster Mixture

Ingredients:

1. Cement: Ordinary Portland Cement or any other suitable type.

2. Sand: Fine, clean, and free from organic materials or impurities.

3. Water: Clean and potable, without any harmful chemicals or salts.

4. Additives (Optional): Depending on the specific use case, additives like bonding agents, waterproofing compounds, or plasticizers can be mixed in.

Steps:

1. Measuring:

   • The standard mix ratio is 1 part cement to 4 parts sand for internal plastering. For external plastering, you might go with a 1: 6 ratio.

2. Mixing:

   • Combine the cement and sand in a dry state to ensure even distribution.

   • Slowly add water to the dry mix while continuously stirring to avoid lumps.

   • The consistency should be like a thick paste, not too runny but smooth enough to apply easily.

3. Additives (if any):

   • If youre using additives, follow the manufacturers instructions regarding the amount and mix them thoroughly with the water before adding to the dry mix.

4. Resting:

   • Allow the mixture to rest for a few minutes to ensure all materials are fully absorbed and to achieve the desired workability.

Application:

• Apply the ready plaster mixture to the surface using a trowel, spreading it evenly and ensuring a smooth finish.

• The thickness of the plaster should generally be around 12-15mm for a single coat.

Curing:

• After application, keep the plastered surface moist for at least 7 days to ensure proper curing and to prevent cracking.
